Although its origins date back to the ancient Turks, Turkish archery is a tradition that primarily developed during the Ottoman Empire. It serves a variety of purposes and implementations. Just as it did in the Turkish tribes, the archery reflected the military strength of the Ottoman Empire. As such, the Empire prioritized archery training to ensure mastery of this skill. Today, many clubs offer many hobby or professional archery activities.
