4th International Istanbul Choir Festival
July 9–12, 2026
On different stages across the city
Celebrating the harmony of Istanbul’s vibrant choral tradition and the universal language of music, the 4th International Istanbul Choir Festival will be held from July 9–12, 2026.
Presented by İBB Orchestras, a division of the Department of Culture of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, the festival will welcome choirs, conductors, and music professionals from across the globe, celebrating the unifying power of choral music through a shared artistic experience.

This year, the festival further expands its international reach by welcoming guest choirs from different parts of the world. Among the invited ensembles are Cecilia Espinosa Chamber Choir from Colombia, Covent Garden Chamber Choir from London, and Vocal Ensemble Res Mirenda from Serbia. They will be joined by selected choirs from various cities across Türkiye, creating a rich and diverse musical program.

In addition to its concert schedule, the festival will feature workshops, masterclasses, and panel discussions. Renowned choral conductor Gary Graden will rehearse and conduct the Festival Choir, while Tori Longdon and Jonas Rasmussen will lead special workshops for participants. Through these activities, the festival serves not only as a performance platform but also as an international hub for education, artistic exchange, and cultural dialogue.

Bringing together music lovers of all ages, the festival invites audiences to experience the inspiring world of choral music. By fostering connections between different cultures and communities, it continues to make a significant contribution to Istanbul’s vibrant cultural life. Highlighting the human voice as the most natural and universal instrument, this unique gathering will once again celebrate the unifying power of music.
