Rhythm of the Dance
Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 20:30
Hodjapasha Performance and Event Center
“Rhythm of the Dance” Comes to the Stage at Hodjapasha
Blending Istanbul's rich historical atmosphere with the vibrant traditions of Turkish folk dance, "Rhythm of the Dance" offers audiences an unforgettable cultural experience at Hodjapasha Performance and Event Center.

Staged inside a beautifully restored Ottoman-era bathhouse, the performance combines the rich heritage of Anatolian dance with contemporary stage technology, creating a spectacular show for both local and international visitors.

Running for approximately 65 minutes, the production showcases a diverse selection of traditional dances representing different regions of Türkiye through modern choreography. Beginning with elegant Ottoman palace dances, the performance continues with the majestic Zeybek of the Aegean region, the energetic Romani dances of Thrace, the powerful Halay traditions of Eastern Anatolia, the fast-paced Horon of the Black Sea, lively Balkan folk dances, a captivating Shaman Dance, mesmerizing Oriental dance performances, and dynamic darbuka rhythm shows.

One of the highlights of the production is its impressive use of stage technology. Immersive 360-degree video projections, sophisticated lighting design, colorful costumes, and vibrant musical performances transform the show into a multi-sensory experience rather than a traditional dance performance. The unique atmosphere of the historic Hodjapasha venue further enhances the visual and emotional impact of the production.

Before the performance, visitors also have the opportunity to explore the Dervish Experience exhibition located in the foyer. Featuring historical artifacts, multimedia presentations, and interactive displays, the exhibition introduces the traditions of the Mevlevi Order and the spiritual practice of the Whirling Dervishes, providing valuable cultural context before the show begins.

Presented throughout the year, "Rhythm of the Dance" has become one of Istanbul's most popular cultural attractions, especially among international visitors seeking an authentic introduction to Türkiye's rich performing arts heritage. Bringing together music, dance, history, and visual storytelling within a remarkable historic venue, the performance offers an inspiring journey through the diverse cultural traditions of Anatolia.
