Büyük Valide Han: Kösem Sultans Legacy Büyük Valide Han, Istanbuls historic and cultural heritage, was built in the 17th century by Kösem Sultan, the mother of Sultan Murad IV.
Located in the Mahmutpaşa district, the center of trade in the city, the inn was an important trading center during the Ottoman Empire and continues to function in this capacity today. The first section of the Great Valide Han, which consists of 101 rooms and two sections, houses shops and warehouses, while the second section was used for accommodation at the time.
The Great Valide Han, which reflects the architectural features of the Ottoman period, has a historical atmosphere with its stone walls, wooden doors, and large courtyard. The most striking feature of the inn is its magnificent view of Istanbul. When you climb to the roof of the inn, you can see the citys enchanting view from a birds eye view.
