Church of St. Anthony of Padua

A Historic Landmark in Istanbul
This magnificent Gothic-style church is one of the largest Catholic churches in Turkey. The origins of this magnificent historical building date back to the early 19th century.

St. Anthony Catholic Church is a religious building located in the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul. It was designed by French priest Père Henri Lotti during the Ottoman Empire and was completed in 1912. The architecture of St. Anthony Catholic Church is very impressive and immediately catches the eye with its details on the exterior and its high towers. The Gothic carvings and stained glass windows on the churchs entrance door open the door to a historical atmosphere for visitors. The interior of the church has a large area supported by elegant columns.

St. Anthony Church, with its high ceiling and walls decorated with frescoes, creates a mystical atmosphere with its colored glass windows. One of the charming features of St. Anthony Catholic Church is its organ. The organ music that fills the interior of the church with its large and powerful sounds deepens the worship experience even more. The church, which is an important part of Istanbuls religious and cultural heritage, offers visitors both a historical experience and the opportunity to explore the Catholic faith.
