Located in the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul, this museum is located inside the famous Pera Palace Hotel. The museum preserves the room where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, stayed during his visits to Istanbul, providing a space dedicated to his life and legacy. Pera Palace Hotel was built in 1892 and has hosted many important figures since then. However, its most famous guest is undoubtedly Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
Atatürk stayed at the hotel between 1917 and 1938, and Room 101 was dedicated to him. This room was converted into a museum after Atatürks death in 1938. Pera Palace Atatürk Museum offers visitors a glimpse into Atatürks life by displaying his personal belongings, clothing, and documents. The museum also houses Atatürks automobile that he used during his visits to Istanbul, as well as a series of information panels providing various information about him.
